VAMPY/BOLD Fall Makeup Look

VAMPY/BOLD Fall Makeup Look

Hi everyone!

Autumn is by far my favourite season. I love stomping on crunchy leaves, wearing big comfy stuff , and drinking PumpkinSpice Latte. Oh, and let’s not forget about the fall makeup! Bring on the bold lips and smoky eyes! To get in the autumn mood I thought I would share one of my favourite dark, vampy makeup look for 2015 with you guys!

Face:

To start I primed my face with my with my NYX HD studio photogenic primer. Not my favourite primer (I don’t feel like it does a lot as a primer), but I wanted to try it out. For this look I chose something with a heavier coverage, and matte finish. I have been sick and lacking sleep for the past couple of weeks (autumn=flu season). I need to be able to camouflage my dull tired skin For this I have been reaching for my Laura Mercier Silk Cream Foundation , which gives a full coverage, matte finish. Then to conceal I am using my beloved Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer. I feel like I really need to shut up about this concealer, but it’s fabulous. If you want a high coverage concealer, you need this in your life! To contour my face I used SmashBox contour Stick. This works well for me it’s so easy to use and does not make my skin look to greasy. The only thing I’d say bad about it is that you can use a lot of it quickly.

Eyes:

for this I use my Bobbi Brown Hot Nudes palette. Bobbi Brown eyeshadows are buttery, highly pigmented and barely have any dropdown. I started with putting Bronzed Beige all over the lid. This is a gorgeous brown, a bit glittery, with warm undertones. Then I used Ivory, in the centre part of my lid. It is a gorgeous champagne colour with a pearled effect to it. Then I used a mix of Smoke (warm bronzey brown), and Cementa (a sparkly, golden brown) to define my crease.

After applying my eyeshadow I then used my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, to define the to the lash line and create a cat eye. I then applied my MAC Haute & Naughty lash mascara I love this mascara for adding both volume and length. I wouldn’t say it makes me look like I have false lashes (like the benefit Roller Lash)…but it does a pretty good job.

Cheeks:

Still from the Bobbi Brown Hot Nudes palette. I used the colour Peach Sugar as a blush. I add a bit of NYX illuminator to my cheekbones.

Lips:

Ok I really had fun on this one! I wanted to do something out of my conform zone, so I went for a dark/golden, ombré lip. I feel like dark lips are fall makeup in a nutshell. I went to my all time favourite lipstick brand (Kat Von D studded kiss lipstick ) and contour my lips with the shade slayer. Then I used my everlasting liquid lipstick in the shade Damned in the centre of my lips. This is the most gorgeous, black cherry colour. Then with a flat eyeshadow brush I pop on a little bit of my NYX illuminator on top of it to create this kindda queen Amidala’s middle lip line in golden.

Not gonna lie I missed long sleeves and dark lips! Hope you enjoy this dramatic look, obviously it’s not for every day- more for a special occasion/ going out.

Let me know what your favourite night out fall makeup products are!

Love, Helene Xx

Beautiful !!! I would love to pull off this look. I have a very pale skin tone! I think the dark shape and lips would really highlight this xox
