MONTHLY FAVOURITES| FEBRUARY 2016

February went by so fast, right? I’m actually glad that it’s almost over, if you are living in Quebec City like me you know that February has been a bit confusing with it’s extremely cold and snowy days, but rest assured SPRING IS COMING! Before March rolls around I wanted to share with you all of my favourite beauty products from the past few weeks.

MONTHLY FAVOURITES| FEBRUARY 2016

Let’s start with Origins GinZing™ Energy-Boosting Moisturizer. As someone with oily skin, finding a face cream that isn’t tacky or oily can be a bit of a challenge. However, this moisturizer is very impressive, my skin absorbed it immediately  This day cream plumps, brightens and tightens my skin leaving it looking fresh and healthy – plus it has a lovely citrusy smell to it. Like all other Origins products a little bit goes a long way.

MONTHLY FAVOURITES| FEBRUARY 2016

I’ve been using this First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream mostly as a hand cream because my skin gets extremely dry in cold weather. I’ve tried Kate Somerville and Clinique’s most powerful moisturizers, but they just didn’t cut it. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is the first product that has actually kept my skin moisturized and has helped reducing the flaky look of it. I totally recommend it if you have dry skin!

MONTHLY FAVOURITES| FEBRUARY 2016

Smashbox’s Photo Finishfoundation primer is a new favourite of mine. If you’re not sure about the purpose of a primer, think of your face as a canvas, before your foundation application, you need something to gives your face an even surface for your foundation. With this primer your skin will be smooth, hydrated, and it will increase the longevity of your fondation.

MONTHLY FAVOURITES| FEBRUARY 2016

I have been using Tarte’s in bloom palette almost every single day (I just can’t stop reaching for it). I won’t go into much details for I have already written a full review on it here, but let’s just say that excellent pigmentation and go-to colors make this palette a winner. I also did I a makeup look featuring the in bloom palette so if you want to check it out click here.

MONTHLY FAVOURITES| FEBRUARY 2016

I’m a big fan of Tarte’s blush in general, the formula is amazing, they are pigmented and give the perfect flush and glow to your face for daytime/party time wear. I have been in love with Fearless which is a nice pink coral shade, it’s very flattering on my skin tone, and gives me this joyful healthy look whenever I use it.

MONTHLY FAVOURITES| FEBRUARY 2016

Last but not least is my new favourite Studded Kiss Lipstick in the shade Homegirl . Ok I know I have been very vocal about those lipstick (full review here) but I just love them so much!! Homegirl is described as a “matte black cherry.” It’s a deepened, muted dark burgundy-red with cool undertones and a matte finish. I just love it so much , and I think part of my obsession with it is because it compliments my hair colour so well (😅).

What were your beauty favorites for February?

Love, Helene Xx
