Edgy Romantic Makeup look

Edgy Romantic Makeup look

Again recently I have been inspired to do a makeup tutorial post, I was looking to do something a little different from the reds, and the bright pinks, that we usually see around this time of the year, so I came up with this gorgeous kind of edgy Romantic era vibe makeup look. Perfect to celebrate Valentine’s Day, but if you are like me and don’t celebrate you can still rock it on a night out!

Edgy Romantic Makeup look

To start off this look I used my E.L.F Mineral Infused Face Primer. I’ve been using it for a while now and love the effect it has on my skin. I love the smoothing effect of it and it helps blur up any pores and fine lines. To prep my lips and create a dewy looking pout I used this Lip Magic lip balm by Charlotte Tilbury.

Du to recent insomnia episode, my skin has been looking really dull and tired, so I’ll be using something with high coverage. This Laura Mercier Silk Crème Oil Free Foundation in the shade Cashew Beige. This foundation has a highly-pigmented formula that blends seamlessly onto skin, hiding even hard-to-cover imperfections. It leaves a flawless finish.

For concealer I’m using my Bobbi Brown Corrector in the shade peach. The reason why I’m using this one is because it is designed to neutralize dark undereye, it is really light weight, and doesn’t get cakey at all! What I usually do is I’ll blend the concealer with my Beautyblender and then I’ll fix it with a loos finish powder to prevent it from creasing.

For eyeshadows I’m using Smarty pants, and Jetsetter, from Tarte tartelette in bloom palette (full review here). They’re perfect because they are very simple, and versatile shadows. If you want to add it you can create a very dramatic look of course, but the idea here is to blend them as much as possible to get this soft brown look. I’m just taking a little bit of each one on a big fluffy brush, and I put it right into the crease, and thank I’m blending it down into the lid.

Next I’m using Bad Gal Lash mascara by Benefits ( review here), what I love about this mascara is that It gives great for volume and fullness without the clumping found in many other mascaras. To add a little “umph” to this look I’m adding the dramatic lash kit by E.L.F.

On to the lips I wanted something quite neutral, and something that would work well with the eyes, so I used Soar witch is a Mid-tone pinkish lip liner by MAC to ad a bit of definition to my pout and then apply MAC Kinda Sexy lipstick witch is a Neutral pinky-rose. To give a little dimension to my face I’m using Smashbox Step-By-Step Contour Stick Trio. It’s an exclusive set of three ultra-blendable, creamy stick Again they are very pigmented and blend like butter into the skin. For blush I’m using Fearless by Tarte which is a beautiful coral pink shade. I love those blushes because they are very easy to use and their colours looks always super natural.

To finish off this look I’m using my Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray I use it pretty much all the time, that feel sticky or tight on my skin at all.

Let me know what you think of this look Dow below! Would you wear it on a date night or on a night out with friends?
