e.l.f. Mineral Infused Face Primer review

e.l.f. Mineral Infused Face Primer review

I don’t think you can go wrong with any E.L.F products, I’ve been using this brand for years now and I’m always amazed by how good those products are it’s like having high ends makeup products, but way less expensive. Today I want to review maybe one of the first primer that I ever use when I first started doing make up and it’s the E.L.F. Mineral Infused Face Primer.

I have recently purchased my 3 favourites which are The Mineral (the white one), Tone Adjusting Green (the green one), and Radiant Glow (the kinda peach one). Those primers retails at 6$ each. They all do different things so I thought it would be a fun idea to go by each one of them so you guys can see what are your options.

Each bottle comes with 0.49 oz which is a little bit deceiving because it looks like you would get a bottler filled with product except they’ve placed a little plastic thing in the middle of the bottle so you’re  really just getting half of what it looks like which is a little disappointing. But  to be honest you really just need a pea size amount to cover your whole face. A little goes a long way and one bottle should last you a long while. If I were to compare this primer to and other primer, I would say that the E.L.F. Mineral Infused Face Primer is a cheaper version of the smashbox Photo Finish Primer .

I love the fact that the bottle has a pump which makes it so much more hygienic. The product comes out as a sort of gel, and when you apply it to your face it feels like your covering your face in a layer of silky goodness (that’s really the best way that I can describe it). The consistency of this product is like nothing I have ever felt before, it is just very soft and amazing. If you are using a coloured one don’t worry your face won’t turn green or peachy the pigment that cause the colour will sink into your skin.

  • The Mineral is especially designed to target excess oil, flaky dryness, enlarged pores, and fine lines.
  • Tone Adjusting Green is ideal for minimizing redness and correcting blotchy skin.
  • Radiant Glow (contain shimmer) is ideal for treating aluminizing affect on dark spot and uneven skin tones.
  • (There’s another one which is Brightening lavender. This one is ideal for uneven skin tones and brighten dull or yellow tones but I don’t use it this much so I didn’t include it in this post)

What I really like when I use those primers is that my face stay matte throughout the day, my skin looks and feels really healthy, and it kinda keeps my skin hydrated. It is the one Primera did I use with my Cover FX foundation (review here) and I love the fact that they both mixed so well. I also love the fact that it does what it claims to do. I also want to mention that those primers don’t break me out I know it’s big concern when trying new facial products, but does primer are very soft and gentle on the skin.

I definitely believe that those primers are on the same level or maybe a bit higher then some other high ends primers. The quality and formula of the Mineral Infused Face Primer is just purely amazing, and for six dollar you can’t really beat it!

So that is it for the review I hope it was helpful! Obviously I really recommend those primer! To me they are  a really nice alternatives if you are on a budget. Have you ever tried them? What are your favourite primers to use on a daily basis? Let me know in the comments section below!
