Benefit’s Mascaras Comparison

Benefit's Mascaras Comparisony

Hey guys, hope you’re all well!

I do love Benefit, I’m a very big fan of their marketing , their packaging, and their products are pretty good as well. For today’s post, I thought it would be fun to da a comparison between all my Benefit mascara.

Let’s start with the first one , the Bad Gal Lash Mascara (26$). This is the first mascara that I’ve ever bought in my life. Back in 2010 I was a kinda noob in the makeup world. I was introduced to Sephora by my best friend (you known that kind of friend who knows all there’s to know about fashion and makeup) and she strongly recommended the Bad Gal Lash to me. I fell in love with it…. I fell hard in love!

The Bad Gal Lash formula is so awesome! It’s super black doesn’t clump or flake, and makes your lashes look full and voluminous. I have super long lashes This emphasizes them perfectly!
Compare to the other 2, the formula dries super quickly (I think it’s the fastest of the 3), plus, the brush is gigantic! Which might be a problem when you want to go in those tiny/tricky/hard to reach corners. The bristles are suffer fluffy so I personally feel it is the softest of team all on my lashes. If you are looking for a mascara for volume and overall intensity this is the mascaras for you.

The next one is the They’re Real mascara (31$), it is one of everybody’s favourite mascara, and I think it is one of Benefit’s best seller on the Internet. I’ve been testing this one for a month now, and I wouldn’t go as far as saying that I hate this mascara, but let’s say that this is my least favourite of the 3. I have naturally long lashes, so I find that They’re Real! doesn’t work so well for me at all. I don’t know if it is because I have weird lashes but the formula tend to smudge and dry out on me.

The They’re Real wand, is like… A rubber wand with super long spikes coming out of it. To be honest every time I use it, it feels like the brush is going to rip off my lashes, and I don’t like it. It takes a lot of coats to see any difference from my normal lashes… I feel that the curling power of this mascara is average, the volume is average, ant it doesn’t make my lashes look super full…

I can say that Bad Gal lash perform very well in volume and makes my lashes look fuller. The Roller Lash is amazing at curling and volume, but the They’re Real mascara is like average on every level…. And well I don’t know what else to say about it apart that I don’t really like it…

image Last but not least is the Roller Lash Mascara (31$). It has been one my personal favourites for months now! I did a full review on it so if you want to read it click here

This is the newest mascara from benefit. The formula is super long lasting ( holds for 12 hours), and it dose lift and curl your lashes.

The wand is curled, and has little rubber spike on it, kind of like the They’re Real, but on The Roller Lash brush is a lot smaller, the spikes are much smaller and closer together. The brush is super to separate and lift the lashes.
Here’s what each mascara look like one me:

One coat

Comparing all 3 I would say that, the Roller Lash is best for curling, if you like the fake eyelashes look this is the one that I definitely recommend. If you like that full, and voluminous look go with the Bad Gal Lash (but the brush can be a bit overwhelming). The They’re real mascara is unfortunately my least favourite of the 3… I think that if you were to get a Benefit Mascara I would recommend you either the Roller Lash or the Bad Gal Lash.

I really hope this was helpful, let me know what you think of those mascaras in the comments below! Which one is you favourite?

Love, Helene Xx

I’ve heard “eh” reviews on the roller lash for actually “replacing a curler”, but everyone raves about the formula. Looking at the pictures I would say it’s the best one. I bought the They’re Real and agree. It doesn’t do too much for my lashes but the bristles actually were stabbing my eyes every time I did my makeup. I like to get as close to the root for volume and this mascara was a no go for that. I REALLY liked the comparison with the mascaras, very helpful!

    Thanks!

This is such a great post! I admit I hate the They’re Real – mainly as it didn’t live up to the hype – but might try Roller Lash next! X

Love this post! I completely agree with you, the Benefit They’re Real mascara is my least favorite.
