7 Beauty hacks everyone should know

I know there’s so many blog post similar to this one, actually the Internet is filled with those kind of post, but young know what they say there’s room for everyone in the blogging world 😉. I just wanted to put together a “beauty hacks” kinda post with all of my own beauty tips that I actually use and would highly recommend. So here’s my list of 7 Beauty hacks everyone should know!

1.Seal your lipstick using translucent powder and tissue
A statement lipstick is a great look, but can require lots of re-applying throughout the day. Instead, apply the lipstick and then gently put a tissue over the lips. Lightly tap some pressed powder over the tissue to set the lipstick in place. If you want to know my complete method for a long wear eating, drinking, and kissing, proof lipstick click here

2. Fuller pout without the hassle of needles
To flaunt a fuller pout, you don’t need collagen injections or expensive lip plumpers. Peppermint and even cinnamon oil can give you the same effect. You can add them to your lip balm or lip gloss or apply directly to your lips.

3.Contour with bronzer when you are short on time
Contouring is one of my favourite part in my makeup routine, but I don’t always have 5 minutes to spare in the morning and make sure everything’s blended properly. That’s why I use bronzer to contour when I’m short on time. You can create a very similar effects when you are applying your bronzer in a “3” shape. Use your favourite brushe start on your temple, then go right below your cheekbone, finish underneath your jawbone.

4. Scotch tape is the perfect winged eyeliner Bff
Winged eyeliner is a classic beauty look but if you’re like me and your hands tends to be a bit shaky it can be difficult to get the berfect line and more difficult to get both eyes to match without a wonky look. One way to master this is using scotch tape – place the tape underneath your outside lashes and angle it towards your temples. Do this on both eyes, then use your favourite eyeliner proceed as usual Remove the tape, and you’re good to go!

5. Out of liquid liner? Use your mascara instead
I use liquid liner pretty much every day, my favourite one is (no big surprise here) Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, I have been using it for as long as I can remember…when my liquid liner is out and I don’t have the time to run at my local Sephora to grab my self a new one I use a small liner brush and grab a little bit of mascara on my mascara brush. It does the trick just fine!

6. Wait for your mascara to dry before getting it off your face
I’m clumsy and I often get the odd drop of mascara around my eyes, on my lid, or on my nose! If it happens to you no need to freak out you haven’t ruined your entire makeup! The trick is to let your mascara dry first. Then, you can simply flick it off with the end of a cotton tip.

7. Use Dish soap and olive oil for sparkly clean makeup brushes
Having clean makeup brushes is so important for so many reasons! I got this tip from this Michelle Phan video ages ago! This is the most effective and inexpensive way to clean makeup brushes! Use an antibacterial dish wash soap (to get rid of all the nasty things stuck in you makeup brushes) combined with olive oil (to keep your brushes hairs condition). What I do is that I pore the ingredients in a plate (2/3 of soap and 1/3 of oil) then I stir my dirty brushes in the mix and then I use my sigma cleaning mat (review here) to make sure my brushes are deeply cleaned

What are your favourites beauty tips/hacks let me know in the comments section below!

Waiting for your mascara to dry before you clean it off your face is such a good tip, I’m usually so impatient though! Also I love contouring with bronzer even when I’m not in a rush.
